I AM THE LORD

The Phrase "I am the LORD" is mention 163 time in the Tenakh Scriptures

"That YHVH spake unto Moshe, saying, Ani  : speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Mitsrayim all that I say unto thee."    (Exo 6:29 )

"And the Egyptians shall know that Ani  , when I stretch forth mine hand upon Mitsrayim and bring out the children of Yisra EL from among them."    (Exo 7:5)

"Thus saith YHVH, In this thou shalt know that Ani  : behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood."    (Exo 7:17 )

"And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that Ani   in the midst of the earth."    (Exo 8:22 )

"And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Mitsrayim and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that Ani  ."    (Exo 10:2 )

"For I will pass through the land of Mitsrayim this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim both man and beast; and against all the gods of Mitsrayim I will execute judgment: Ani  ."    (Exo 12:12 )

"And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that Ani  . And they did so."    (Exo 14:4 )

"And the Egyptians shall know that Ani  , when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen."    (Exo 14:18 )

"And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHVH thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for Ani   that healeth thee."    (Exo 15:26 )

Exo 15:26:  The Yisra ELites were admonished to obey Elohim and not rebel as did the Egyptians, whose resistance against Elohim brought the plagues upon them.

"I have heard the murmurings of the children of Yisra EL: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that Ani   your Elohim."    (Exo 16:12 )

"Ani   thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Mitsrayim out of the house of bondage."    (Exo 20:2 )

"And they shall know that Ani   their Elohim, that brought them forth out of the land of Mitsrayim that I may dwell among them: Ani their Elohim."    (Exo 29:46 )

"Speak thou also unto the children of Yisra EL, saying, Verily my Shabbat ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that Ani that doth sanctify you."    (Exo 31:13 )

"For Ani   your Elohim: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."    (Lev 11:44 )

For Ani   that bringeth you up out of the land of Mitsrayim to be your Elohim: ye shall therefore be Kadosh, for I am Kadosh."    (Lev 11:45 )

 "Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Yisra EL, both man and beast: mine shall they be: Ani  "    (Num 3:13 )

 Num 3:13:  Elohim's ownership of the firstborn results from the redemption described in Ex. 12:21-27; 13:11-16.

 "And thou shalt take the Levites for me (Ani  ) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Yisra EL; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Yisra EL."    (Num 3:41 )

 "Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Yisra EL, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: Ani  ."    (Num 3:45 )

Ezek 20:12:  Though Ezekiel was strong in his rejection of ritualism, he wholeheartedly endorsed and upheld the observance of the Shabbat, not as a scheduled legalistic requirement but as a sign of Elohim's relationship with His people, and as a regular spiritual refreshing and renewal (cf. Mark 2:27, note).

"Ani   your Elohim; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;"    (Ezek 20:19 )

Ezek 39:6:  The promise of judgment by fire is like that of Rev. 20:9.

"So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Yisra EL; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the goyim shall know that Ani  , the Holy One in Yisra EL."    (Ezek 39:7 )

"So the house of Yisra EL shall know that Ani   their Elohim from that day and forward."    (Ezek 39:22 )

"Then shall they know that Ani   their Elohim, which caused them to be led into captivity among the goyim: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there."    (Ezek 39:28 )

"Yet Ani   thy Elohim from the land of Mitsrayim and thou shalt know no Elohim but me: for there is no Yasha beside me."    (Hosea 13:4 )
