The Model of Servant and His Reward:

purity of Motive, Genuine love, Genuine faith and Joy in Fruit bearing, are we men pleaser

2:1 For you yourselves know, Achim, that our coming to you, was not in vain:

2:2 But even after that we had suffered before, and as you know we have been mistreated in Philippoi, we had the boldness in our Elohim to speak unto you the *1 good news of Moshiach* inspite of strong opposition.

2:3 For our exhortation [was] does not come from deception, neither from impurity neither with treachery:

2:4 But as we were approved of Elohim to be entrusted with the good news, even so we speak; not so as to please the sons of men, but Elohim, who examines our hearts.

2:5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as ye know, nor a pretext of covetousness; Elohim [is] witness:

2:6 Nor  did we seek praises from men, either from you, nor [yet] of others, when we might have asserted our authority, as the shlichim (sent ones) of Moshiach.

2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse tenderly cares her children:

2:8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the good news of Elohim only, but also our own nefeshot, because ye were dear unto us.

2:9 For you remember, our achim, our labour and toiling: for labouring with the works of our hands by night and by day, so that we would not be a burden upon any of you. *2we proclaimed unto you the good news of Elohim*.

2:10 Ye [are] witnesses, and Elohim  in what manner we proclaimed  to you  the Good News of  Elohim, purely and righteously and we were blameless toward all the believers:

2:11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,

2:12 That ye would walk worthy of Elohim, who hath called you unto His kingdom and to His glory.

2:13 For this cause we give thanks continually Elohim because, when ye received the word of Elohim which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of the sons of men, but as it is in truth, the word of Elohim, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

2:14 For ye, my achim, became followers of the assemblies of Elohim which in Yehudah are in Moshiach Yeshua (ישוע): for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they [have] of the Yehudim:

2:15 Who both killed Adonay Yeshua (ישוע), and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not Elohim, and are contrary to all sons of men:

2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Goyim that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

2:17 But we, our achim, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.

2:18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paulos, once and again; but satan hindered us.

2:19 For what [is] our tikvah, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of Adoneinu Yeshua (ישוע) Moshiach at his coming?

2:20 For ye are our glory and joy.

*1 Greek has “The Gospel of God”; through Glen DB (Aramaic expert)'s view he suspect that the Greek translator translated the Aramaic word htrbo- Gospel– 2nd to last word in the verse and then looked back to the preceding word Nhlad “of our God” instead of the following word axysmd-of The Messiah

*2 Greek adds to the end of this:-“We preached to you the Gospel of God”. Apparently they worked by night and preached by day. The Greek includes the preaching in this verse to clarify that. Actually, the two verses should be combined, as they are one continuous sentence and thought.
