8:1 And  Sha'ul (שאול) was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the assembly which was at Yerushalayim; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Yehudah and Shomron, except the shlichim.

8:2 And devout men carried Stephanos [to his burial], and made great lamentation over him.

8:3 As for  Sha'ul (שאול), he made havock of the assembly, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed [them] to prison.

8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where proclaiming the word.

8:5 Then Philippos went down to the city of Shomron, and proclaimed Moshiach unto them.

8:6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philippos spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

8:7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed [with them]: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

8:8 And there was great joy in that city.

8:9 But there was a certain man, called Shim'on, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Shomron, giving out that himself was some great one:

8:10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of Elohim (אלהים).

8:11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

8:12 But when they believed Philippos proclaiming the things concerning the Malkut Elohim (אלהים), and the name of Yeshua (ישוע) Moshiach, they were immersed, both men and women.

8:13 Then Shim'on himself believed also: and when he was immersed, he continued with Philippos, and wondered, Beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

8:14 Now when the shlichim which were at Yerushalayim heard that Shomron had received the word of Elohim (אלהים), they sent unto them Kefa (פטרוס) and Yochanan (יוחנן):

8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Ruach HaKodesh:

8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were immersed in the name of Adonay Yeshua (ישוע).)

8:17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Ruach HaKodesh.

8:18 And when Shim'on saw that through laying on of the shlichim' hands the Ruach HaKodesh was given, he offered them money,

8:19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Ruach HaKodesh.

8:20 But Kefa (פטרוס) said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of Elohim (אלהים) may be purchased with money.

8:21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of Elohim (אלהים).

8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray Elohim (אלהים), if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

8:23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and [in] the bond of iniquity.

8:24 Then answered Shim'on, and said:

Pray ye to Adonay for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

8:25 And they, when they had testified and proclaimed the word of Adonay, returned to Yerushalayim, and proclaimed the good news in many villages of the Shomron.

Philippos and the Kushite Believer Ethiopian Believer (8:26-40)

8:26

And the Messenger of Maryah (YHWH, Adonai, ayrm, 0yrmd)

spake unto Philippos, saying:

Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Yerushalayim unto Gaza, which is desert.

8:27 And he arose and went: and, Hinnei, a man of Kush (Ethiopia), a Believer (eunuch) of great authority under Kandake queen of the Kushim, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Yerushalayim for to worship, [Ps 68:31; 87:4; Zeph 3:10; Isa 56:3-5; 1Kgs 8:41-43]

8:28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Yeshayahu ha Navi.

8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Philippos:

Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

8:30 And Philippos ran thither to [him], and heard him read the Yeshayahu ha Navi, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

8:31 And he said:

How can I, except some man should guide me?

And he desired Philippos that he would come up and sit with him.

8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this:

8:33

and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

8:34 And the Believer (eunuch) answered Philippos, and said:

I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this?

of himself, or of some other man?

8:35 Then Philippos opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and proclaimed unto him Yeshua (ישוע).

8:36 And as they went on [their] way, they came unto a certain water:

And the Believer (eunuch) said:

See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be immersed?

8:37 And Philippos said:

If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.

And he answered and said:

I believe that Yeshua (ישוע) Moshiach is BEN Elohim (אלהים).

8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philippos and the Believer (eunuch); and he immersed him.

8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Ruach Maryah (YHWH, Adonai, ayrm, 0yrmd) caught away Philippos, that the Believer (eunuch) saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

8:40 But Philippos was found at Ashdod (Azotos): and passing through he proclaimed in all the cities, till he came to Kaisareia.

Read this Chapter in Aramaic

The Aramaic word “anmyhm”  or "0nmyhm" can mean either “believer” or “eunuch.” The Greek versions mistranslate this as “eunuch” instead of the more contextually correct “believer.” He could not be eunuch because base on Torah Devarom 23:1 He that is wounded in the testicles, or hath his severed organ (ie member mutilation; cut off), shall not enter into the kahal YHWH

Who was Rav Shaul?

This account of the book of Acts and the other series of Rav Shaul's letter mainly focus on the correction of false teaching and practice we gathered some accounts of who Rav Sha'ul was, his concept of teaching and his mission. Rav Sha'ul  also known as Paulos of Tarsus in Kilikia, is a Yehudi (Jew)  from the tribe of Benyamin, the Hebrew of the Hebrews had Brit Milah his eighth day , raised as a Parush (Pharisee). He was educated under Gamali'el strictly according to the Torah avoteinu being zealous for Hashem. He was the one who consented the execution Stephanos and   persecutor of the Messianic Community.

Rav Sha'ul had a supernatural personal encounter with Adonay Yeshua Ha Moshiach while he was on his way to Damascus. He was considered to be one of the "Sent One" along with the other Shaliach (Apostle).  Yeshua reveal it to Chanayah a Messianic Jew, that Sha'ul was a chosen vessel by Adonay Yeshua Ha Moshiach, to bear the Name Adonay before the Goyim, and melekhim (kings), and the benai Yisrael: Yeshua said that He will show Rav Sha'ul of Tarsus in Kilikia how great things Sha'ul must suffer for His Name Sake.

Rav Shaul expressed his deep desire and prayer to Elohim  that Yisrael will be saved.

Likewse Rav Sha'ul also goes forth proclaiming the good news of Yeshua as he told the goyim who  then became Messianic Believers that at that time they were without Moshiach being aliens or separated from the identity (Ezrahut) of Yisrael and strangers from the Covenant of promise having no hope and without Elohim in the world but now Moshiach Yeshua they who are fomerly were afar off have been brought near to the Covenant of promise by the blood of Moshiach Yeshua.

As usual  according to Rav Shaul's  custom on three occasion of  Shabbatot  he goes to the synagogue reasoned with them from the Tenakh, explaining and giving evidence that the Moshiach had to suffer and rise again from the dead and saying "This Yeshua whom I am proclaiming to you is the Moshiach. He speaks the good news not a new religion  which he delievers to the Yehudi and the Greeks, it was said in the scripture that a large number of people believed. There were occasion where Rav Shaul being accused by the Romans and was brought to the chief magistrates that He  proclaims the  customs which they deem not permissible for them to observe.

In the historical account Rav Shaul was sentence to death in Roman. He died because he being a Jew proclaiming Yeshua as the Moshiach of Yisrael to his people and he never bowed before any pagan Emperor . In his last word he said that he had keep to good faith in Yeshua, he had completed the task which was delicated to him  and had a good fight against false teaching.
