1:1 Sefer toldot Yeshua Mashiach Ben David, Ben Avraham.
1:2 Avraham begat (הוליד) Yitz'chak; and Yitz'chak begat (הוליד) Ya'akov; and Ya'akov begat (הוליד) Y'hudah and his brethren;
1:3 And Y'hudah begat (הוליד) Peretz and Zerach of Tamar; Peretz begat (הוליד) Hetzron; Hetzron begat (הוליד) Ram;
1:4 And Ram begat (הוליד) Amminadav; Amminadav begat (הוליד) Nachshon; Nachshon begat (הוליד) Salmon;
1:5 And Salmon begat (הוליד) Bo'az of Rachav; Bo'az begat (הוליד) Oved of Rut; and Oved begat (הוליד) Yishai;
1:6 And Yishai begat (הוליד) David the king; David the king begat (הוליד) Shlomo of her that had been the wife of Uriyah;
1:7 And Shlomo begat (הוליד) Rechav'am; Rechav'am begat (הוליד) Aviyah; and Aviyah begat (הוליד) Asa;
1:8 And Asa begat (הוליד) Y'hoshafat; Y'hoshafat begat (הוליד) Yoram; and Yoram begat (הוליד) Uziyahu (Azayahu) ; (2 kings 15, 1 Chr 3:11; 2 Chr 26:1-15)
1:9 And Uziyahu begat (הוליד) Yotam; Yotam begat (הוליד) Achaz; and Achaz begat (הוליד) Chizkiyahu;
1:10 And Chizkiyahu begat (הוליד) M'nasheh; and M'nasheh begat (הוליד) Amon; and Amon begat (הוליד) Yoshiyahu;
1:11 And Yoshiyahu ...the father of Yecon'yah* (Ben Yehoyakin) and his brethren, about the time they were Exile [the Golus] to Bavel:
1:12 And after they were brought to Bavel, Yecon'yah* begat (הוליד) Sh'altiel; and Sh'altiel ...begat (הוליד) Zeruv Bavel;
1:13 And Zeruv Bavel... begat (הוליד) Avihud; and Avihud begat (הוליד) Elyakim; and Elyakim begat (הוליד) Azur;
1:14 And Azur begat (הוליד) Tzadok; and Tzadok begat (הוליד) Yakhin; and Yakhin begat (הוליד) El'ichud;
1:15 And El'ichud begat (הוליד) El'azar; and El'azar begat (הוליד) Mattan; and Mattan begat (הוליד) Ya'akov;
1:16 And Ya'akov begat (הוליד) Yosef the husband of Miryam, of whom was born Yeshua (ישוע), who is called Mashiach.
1:17 Ve hinei Kol-ha dorot:
From Avraham to David are arba'ah asar dorot; and
From David until the carrying away into Bavel [are] arba'ah asar dorot; and
From the golus (exile) into Bavel to Mashiach [are] *arba'ah asar dorot.
1:18 Now the birth of Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach was on this wise: When as His mother Miryam was given in kiddushin to Yosef, before they came together, she was found with child of the Ruach HaKoDesh.
1:19 Her shidduch, Yosef being a tzaddik, and not willing to humiliate her publicly, planned to deal with the Get in private arrangement.
1:20 But while Yosef thought on these things:
Behold, the messenger of Adonai (יהוה) appeared to him in a dream, saying:
"Yosef, you Ben David, fear not to take to you Miryam your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Ruach HaKoDesh."
1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His Name Yeshua (ישוע) : for He will bring His people yeshuah from their peyshaim (hamartia).
1:22 Now all this occurred so that which was spoken by
Elohim (אלהים ar.MarYah) through the Navi might be fulfilled,
1:23 Behold, the maiden shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Imanu' EL ( עִמָּנוּ אֵל), which is translated as "EL (אל) with us". (YeshaYahu 7:14)
1:24 Then Yosef being raised from sleep did as the messenger of Adonai (יהוה) had bidden him, and took to him his Kallah (wife):
1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn Son: and he called His Name Yeshua (ישוע). see Baba Bathra 8:6

1:18 - engaged, betrothal, espoused, in Greek term is mnesteuo; is as binding as marriage, see Devarim 20:7; 22:23-28. This had been given in erusin; Erusin (אירוסין) is the Hebrew term for betrothal. In modern Hebrew, "erusin" means engagement, but this is not the historical meaning of the term, which is the first part of marriage (the second part being nissuin).In Hebrew and classical rabbinic literature, betrothal is frequently referred to as sanctification (Hebrew: Kiddushin, קידושין), on account of the bride becoming "sanctified" (dedicated) to the groom for a separation, setting aside and separating of a particular woman for a particular man. According to the Mishna, adultery during the kiddushin period is a more serious sin than adultery after marriage.

The first recorded shidduch (Hebrew: שידוך, pl. shidduchim שידוכים) is a system of matchmaking in the Hebrew scripture (a.k.a. tenakh) was the match that Eliazar, eved Avraham, made for his master's son Yitzchak (Beresheet Ch. 24).
the Mashiach (Hebrew: משיח "anointed [one]") is a term traditionally referring to melekh from the Davidic line who will be "anointed" (the meaning of the Hebrew word משיח. In the Hebrew scripture the word is also used to speak of kohanim and melekhim, who were traditionally anointed.
5:17-18 Yeshua teaches that the Torah retains its validity
7:12 The Torah is the basis of Yeshua 's Teachings.
8:1-4 Yeshua commands a healed Jewish man to fulfill a sacrifical mitzvah (Vayikra 13 n 14)
8:19 A Torah teacher would only be willing to Yeshua 's Talmidim if Yeshua was Torah-Observant.
19:16-19 Yeshua encourage a Torah-observant man to keep the mitzvot.
