1:1 Yehudah, the eved of Yeshua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach, and achi of Yaakov, to them that are sanctified by Elohim (אלהים) Ha AVI, and preserved in Yeshua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach, [and] called:
1:2 Rachamim unto you, and Shalom, and ahava, be multiplied.
1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the emunah which was once delivered unto the kiddushim.
1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, wicked men, turning the grace of our Elohim (אלהים) into lasciviousness, and denying the only Adonay Elohim (אלהים), and Adoneinu Yeshua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach.
1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that Adonay, having saved the people out of ha eretz Mitzrayim, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
1:6 And the malakhim which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the mishpat of the great day.
1:7 Even as Sedom and Amora, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
1:8 Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak ra'ah of dignities.
1:9 Yet Mika'el the chief Malak, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Mosheh, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, Adonay rebuke thee.
1:10 But these speak ra'ah of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
1:11
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Kayin, and
ran greedily after the toyus (error) Bil'am for reward, and perished
in the rebellion of Karach.
1:12 These are the men who are hidden reefs in your moedim ahava when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without mayim, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted;
1:13 Wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness le olam va ed.
1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Hinnei, Adonay cometh with ten thousands of his kiddushim,
1:15 To execute mishpat upon all, and to convince all that are wicked among them of all their wicked deeds which they have wicked committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which wicked sinners have spoken against him.
1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words], having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the Shlichim of Adoneinu Yeshua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach;
1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should halak after their own wicked lusts.
1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your kodesh kodeshim (most holy) emunah, praying in Ruach ha Kodesh,
1:21 Keep yourselves in the ahav of Elohim (אלהים), looking for the rachamim of Adoneinu Yeshua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach unto Chayim Olam.
1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of His Kavod with exceeding joy,
1:25 To the only wise Elohim (אלהים) Moshieinu, [be] Kavod and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
The letter of Yehudah was written by Yehudah, who was one of the half brother of Adonay Yeshua (Mattityahu 13:55; Mark 6:3); His message, one of the most severe in the Brit Hadashah was written due to apostasy in the early Assembly. Much Threatening were these heresies that the Ruach HaKodesh caused Yehudah to write this letter of warning, uring his readers to contend earnestly for the emunah (verse 3) because of the prevalence of the false teachers who had already intruded into the Assemblies.
