The core of Avrahamic Covenant teaching is
centered around, "Circumcision of the Heart." The foreskin of the
heart; specifically means,
"a barrier to holiness" i.e. lust. This barrier is what Acts
2:38 removes! The Torah, the Ketuvim and The Nevim (Joshua-Ecclesiastes, Yeshayahu specifically Yemiryahu 31 and Ezek iel 35-36-Malachi) all speak
symbolically (and literally) of a time when YHVH Elohim is going to circumcise the hearts of His
people and all YHVH Elohim fearers so that
they could love Him with all their heart, love their neighbor, and keep His Mitzvot (commandments). That is why a new believers are so sensitive to YHVH Elohim and His voice. It is also the reason that they
turn from evil to good and can no longer entertain evil thoughts-their
conscience is cleansed! |

36:12 It was the desire of Amalek to
destroy the whole nation of Yisrael while they were defenseless coming out of
Mitzrayim (Egypt). The spiritual
principle behind these mitzvot is that we need to remove everything from our
lives that may cause us to stray from YHVH – especially those things that
will cause us to commit the sin of idolatry.
We may save nothing – no matter what it might be – that would cause us
to turn away from YHVH. We must
remember that Benai Yisrael eventually fell to idolatry because they did not
fulfill these very commands |
