2:1 And YHWH (יהוה) spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying,
2:2 Every man of the benai Yisrael shall pitch by his own degel (standard), with the otot (ensigns) of their father's bayit: far off about the Ohel Moed shall they pitch.
First set off East: Yehudah, Yissakhar Zevulun - 186,400
2:3 And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the degel (standard) of the camp of Yehudah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the ben AmmiNadav [shall be] captain of the benai Yehudah.
2:4 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred. 74,600
2:5 And those that do pitch next unto him [shall be] the tribe of Yissakhar: and Netanel the ben Tzuar [shall be] captain of the benai Yissakhar.
2:6 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered thereof, [were] fifty and four thousand and four hundred. 54,400
2:7 [Then] the tribe of Zevulun: and Eli'av ben Helon [shall be] captain of the benai Zebulun.
2:8 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered thereof, [were] fifty and seven thousand and four hundred. 57,400
2:9 Total numbered in the camp of Yehudah [were] an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth. 186,400
Second Set off South Reuven, Shimon, Gad - 151,450
2:10 On the south side [shall be] the degel (standard) of the camp of Reuven according to their armies: and the captain of the benai Reuven [shall be] Elitzur the ben She'de'ur.
2:11 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered thereof, [were] forty and six thousand and five hundred. 46,500
2:12 And those which pitch by him [shall be] the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the benai Simeon [shall be] Shelumi'el ben Tzuri shaddai.
2:13 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] fifty and nine thousand and three hundred. 59,300
2:14 Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the banim Gad [shall be] Elyasaf the ben Re'u'el.
2:15 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty. 45,650
2:16 All that were numbered in the camp of Reuven [were] an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank. 151,450
2:17 Then the Ohel Moed shall set forward with the camp of the Leviim in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their degel (standard)s.
Third set off West : Efrayim Manasheh BenYamin - 108,100
2:18 On the west side [shall be] the degel (standard) of the camp of Efrayim according to their armies: and the captain of the banim Efrayim [shall be] Elishama ben Ammihud.
2:19 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] forty thousand and five hundred. 40,500
2:20 And by him [shall be] the tribe of Manasheh: and the captain of the benai Manasheh [shall be] Gamaliel ben P'dahtzur.
2:21 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] thirty and two thousand and two hundred. 32,200
2:22 Then the tribe of BenYamin: and the captain of the banim BenYamin [shall be] Avidan ben Gideoni.
2:23 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] thirty and five thousand and four hundred. 35,400
2:24 Total number of the camp of Efrayim [were] an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank. 108,100
Fourth Set off North: Dan, Asher, Naftali 157,600
2:25 The degel (standard) of the camp of Dan [shall be] on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the benai Dan [shall be] Achi'ezer ben Ammi Shaddai.
2:26 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] threescore and two thousand and seven hundred. 62,700
2:27 And those that encamp by him [shall be] the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the benai Asher [shall be] Pag'i'el ben Okhran.
2:28 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] forty and one thousand and five hundred. 41,500
2:29 Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the benai Naftali [shall be] Ahira ben Enan.
2:30 And his tz'va (host), and those that were numbered of them, [were] fifty and three thousand and four hundred. 53,400
2:31 All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan [were] an hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred.157,600 They shall go hindmost with their degel (standard)s.
2:32 Total number of the benai Yisrael by the bayit their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their Tzavot [were] six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. 603,550
2:33 But the Leviim were not numbered among the benai Yisrael; as YHWH (יהוה) commanded Mosheh.
2:34 And the benai Yisrael did according to all that YHWH (יהוה) commanded Mosheh: so they pitched by their degel (standard)s, and so they set forward, every one after their mishpekhot (families), according to the bayit their Avot.
