And the Rashei HaAvot of Mishpekhot Benai Gilead, Ben Machir, Ben Menasseh, of Mishpekhot Benai Yosef, came near, and spake before Mosheh, and before the princes, the Rashei HaAvot of Benai Yisrael:
36:2 And they said, YHWH (יהוה) commanded my master to give the land for an nachalat by lot to Benai Yisrael: and my master was commanded by YHWH (יהוה) to give the nachalat (inheritance) of Zelofehad our brother unto his daughters.
36:3 And if they be married to any of Benai the [other] shevot of Benai Yisrael, then shall their nachalat be taken from the nachalat of our avot, and shall be put to the nachalat of the shevet whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our nachalat.
36:4 And when theYovel (jubilee) of Benai Yisrael shall be, then shall their nachalat be put unto the nachalat of the shevet whereunto they are received: so shall their nachalat be taken away from the nachalat of the Shevet our avot.
36:5 And Mosheh commanded Benai Yisrael according to the word of YHWH (יהוה), saying, The Shevet Benai Yosef hath said well.
36:6 This [is] the thing which YHWH (יהוה) doth command concerning the daughters of Zelofehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the Shevet their avi shall they marry.
36:7 So shall not the nachalat of Benai Yisrael remove from shevet to shevet: for every one of Benai Yisrael shall keep himself to the nachalat of the Shevet his avot.
36:8 And every daughter, that possesseth an nachalat in any Shevet Benai Yisrael, shall be wife unto one of the family of the Shevet her avi, that Benai Yisrael may enjoy every man the nachalat of his avot.
36:9 Neither shall the nachalat remove from [one] shevet to another shevet; but every one of the shevot of Benai Yisrael shall keep himself to his own nachalat.
Even as YHWH (יהוה) commanded Mosheh, so did the daughters of Zelofehad:
36:11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milkah, and Noach, the daughters of Zelofehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons:
36:12 [And] they were married into Mishpekhot Benai Menasheh Ben Yosef, and their nachalat remained in the Shevet the family of their avi.
36:13 These [are] the commandments and the mishpatim, which YHWH (יהוה) commanded by the hand of Mosheh unto Benai Yisrael in the plains of Moav by Yarden [near] Yericho.
