The Torah at Mount Ebal

27:1(iv) And Moshe with the zekenim Yisra'el tzavah the people, saying, Keep all the mitzvot which I command you this day.

27:2 And it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Yarden to the eretz which ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

27:3 And you shall write upon them all the words of this Torah, when you are passed over, that you may go in to the eretz which ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha gives you, a eretz that flows with milk and honey; as ADONAI (יהוה) Elohim (אלהים) of your avot has promised you

27:4 Therefore it shall be when you be gone over Yarden, [that] you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Eval, and you shall plaister them with plaister.

27:5 And there shall you build an altar to ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha, an altar of stones: you shall not lift up [any] iron [tool] upon them.

27:6 You shall build the altar of ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha of whole stones: and you shall offer olot thereon to ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha:

27:7 And you shall offer shalom (שׁלום) offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha.

27:8 And you shall write upon the stones all the words of this Torah very plainly.

27:9 And Moshe and the Kohenim the Levi'ims spoke to all Yisra'el, saying:

Take heed, and obey, O Yisra'el; this day you are become the people of ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha.

27:10 You shall therefore shema (obey) the voice of ADONAI (יהוה) Eloheicha, and do his mitzvot and his chukot, which I command you this day.
