7:1 And YHWH (יהוה) said unto Mosheh:

See, I have made thee a Elohim to Paroh: and Aharon thy brother shall be thy navi.

7:2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aharon thy brother shall speak unto Paroh, that he send the benai  Yisrael out of his eretz.

7:3 And I will harden Paroh's lev, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the eretz of Mitzrayim.

7:4 But Paroh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Mitzrayim, and bring forth mine armies, [and] my people the benai  Yisrael, out of the eretz of Mitzrayim by great mishpatim.

7:5 And the Mitzrites shall know that ANI YHWH (יהוה), when I stretch forth mine hand upon Mitzrayim, and bring out the benai  Yisrael from among them.

7:6 And Mosheh and Aharon did as YHWH (יהוה) commanded them, so did they.

7:7 And Mosheh [was] fourscore years old, and Aharon fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Paroh.

7:8(iv) And YHWH spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying:

7:9 When Paroh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aharon, Take thy rod, and cast [it] before Paroh, [and] it shall become a serpent.

7:10 And Mosheh and Aharon went in unto Paroh, and they did so as YHWH (יהוה) had commanded: and Aharon cast down his rod before Paroh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

7:11 Then Paroh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Mitzrayim, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aharon's rod swallowed up their rods.

7:13 And he hardened Paroh's lev, that he hearkened not unto them; as YHWH (יהוה) had said.

7:14 And YHWH (יהוה) said unto Mosheh, Paroh's lev [is] hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.

7:15 Get thee unto Paroh in the morning; behold, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.

7:16 And thou shalt say unto him, YHWH (יהוה) Elohim of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness: and, Hinei, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.

The waters turned to blood

7:17 Thus saith YHWH (יהוה):

In this thou shalt know that ANI YHWH: Hinei, I will smite with the rod that [is] in mine hand upon the waters which [are] in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

7:18 And the fish that [is] in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Mitzrites shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.

7:19 And YHWH (יהוה) spake unto Mosheh:

Say unto Aharon:

Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Mitzrayim, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and [that] there may be blood throughout all the eretz of Mitzrayim, both in [vessels of] wood, and in [vessels of] stone.

7:20 And Mosheh and Aharon did so, as YHWH (יהוה) commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that [were] in the river, in the sight of Paroh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that [were] in the river were turned to blood.

7:21 And the fish that [was] in the river died; and the river stank, and the Mitzrites could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the eretz of Mitzrayim.

7:22 And the magicians of Mitzrayim did so with their enchantments: and Paroh's lev was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as YHWH (יהוה) had said.

7:23 And Paroh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his lev to this also.

7:24 And all the Mitzrites digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.

7:25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that YHWH (יהוה) had smitten the river.
