The Torah points to Moshiach who will bear our iniquities (see Yeshayahu 53:6,11)

17:1(LY:iv)

And ADONAI (יהוה) spoke to Moshe, saying:

17:2 Speak to Aharon, and to his banim, and to all the Benai Yisrael, and say to them; This is the thing which ADONAI (יהוה) has commanded, saying,

17:3 What man soever there be of the house of Yisrael, that kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that kills it out of the camp,

17:4 And brings it not to the entrance of the Ohel Mo'ed (tent of meeting), to offer an offering to ADONAI (יהוה) before the mishkah of ADONAI (יהוה); blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be karat (cut off) from among his people:

17:5 To the end that Benai Yisrael may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, erev that they may bring them to ADONAI (יהוה), to the entrance of the Ohel Mo'ed (tent of meeting), to the Kohen, and offer them [for] zivkhei shelamin (peace offerings) to ADONAI (יהוה.

17:6 And the Kohen shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of ADONAI (יהוה) at the entrance of the Ohel Mo'ed (tent of meeting), and burn the fat for a sweet savour to ADONAI (יהוה).

17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices to devils, after whom they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute for ever to them throughout their generations.

17:8 (RY:iii, LY:v)

And you shall say to them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Yisrael, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offers a Olah or sacrifice,

17:9 And brings it not to the entrance of the Ohel Mo'ed , to offer it to ADONAI (יהוה); even that man shall be karat (cut off) from among his people.

17:10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Yisrael, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will erev set my face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

17:12 Therefore I said to the Benai Yisrael, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood.

17:13 And whatsoever man there be of the Benai Yisrael, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

17:14 For [it is] the life of all flesh; the blood of it [is] for the life thereof: therefore I said to the Benai Yisrael, you shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eats it shall be karat (cut off).

17:15 And every soul that eats that which died [of itself], or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both kabas (wash) his clothes, and rachatz (bath) himself in water, and be tamei until the erev: then shall he be Tahor (clean).

17:16 But if he kabas (wash) [them] not, nor rachatz (bathe) his body; then he shall bear his iniquity.
