The Great Truth of the Good News (3:1-9)

Romans 4:1-25

3:1 O foolish Galates. Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach was publicly portrayed among you as impaled?

3:2 This is only thing I want to find out from you: Did you received the Ruach from the works of the Torah, or did you receive the Ruach by hearing of the Faith?

3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Ruach, are you now being perfect by the flesh?

3:4 Did you experience so much for nothing? if indeed it were without a purpose.

3:5 Therefore the ONE who gives you the Ruach, and works miracles among you, does he do it  because of your works of the Torah, or because you trust in what you heard and are faithful to it?

3:6 Just as Avraham  "believed in Elohim (אלהים), and it was accounted to him for tzdekah."

3:7 Therefore know that only those who are of the Faith are the sons of Avraham.

3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that Elohim (אלהים) would justify the Nations through faith, proclaimed before the Good News to Avraham, saying:

"In thee shall all nations be blessed."

3:9 So then those who are of the Faith are blessed with faithful Avraham.

Torah Versus Promise (3:10-18)

3:10 For as many as are of the works of the Torah are under the curse:

For it is written:

"Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the Torah to do them."

3:11 But that no man is justified by the Torah in the sight of Elohim (אלהים),

it is evident: for:

"The just shall live by faith."

3:12 And the Torah is not of faith: but, The man that does them shall live in them.

3:13 Mashiach has redeemed us from the "curse of the Torah", by becoming accursed for us:

For it is written:

"Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:"

3:14 That the blessing of Avraham might come on the Goyim through Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach; that we might receive the promise of the Ruach through faith.

3:15 Achim, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no man annuls, or adds to it.

3:16 Now to Avraham and his Seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seed, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Mashiach.

3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of Elohim (אלהים) in Mashiach, the Torah, which was four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a Covenant previously ratified by Elohim (אלהים), so as to nullify the promise.

3:18 For if the inheritance be of the Torah, it is no more of promise: but Elohim (אלהים) gave it to Avraham by promise.

Wherefore then serves the Torah?

It was added because of transgressions, till the zera should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by messengers in the hand of a mediator.

3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of One, but Elohim (אלהים) is Echad.

3:21 Is the Torah then against the promises of Elohim (אלהים)? Chalilah (Far be it): for if there had been a Torah given which could have given life, verily tzdekah should have been by the Torah.

3:22 But the scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith of Yeshua (ישוע) Mashiach might be given to them that believe.

3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the Torah, shut up to the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

3:24 Wherefore the Torah was our schoolmaster to bring us to Mashiach, that we might be justified by faith.

3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

3:26 For you are all the sons of Elohim (אלהים) by faith in Mashiach Yeshua (ישוע).

3:27 For as many of you as have been immersed into Mashiach have put on Mashiach.

3:28 There is neither Yehudi nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Mashiach Yeshua (ישוע).

3:29 And if you be Mashiach's, then are you Avraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
