Mi yitenkha keakh li yonek shedei imi emtzaakha vakhutz eshakkha gam lo-yavuzu li:

O that thou [wert] as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! [when] I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

Enhagakha aviakha el-beit imi telamdeni ashkekha miyayin harekakh measis rimoni:

I would lead thee, [and] bring thee into my mother's house, [who] would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced yayin (wine) of the juice of my rimmon (pmegranate).

Final charge to the banot Yerushalayim (8:3,4)

{To the Daughters of Yerushalayim}

se mo lo ta khat ro shi vi mi no te khab ke ni:

His left hand [should be] under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Hishbati etkhem benot Yerushalayim mah-tairu umah-teorru et-haahavah ad shetekhpatz:

I charge you, O banot Yerushalayim, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] dod (love), until he please.

The couple arrive in their country village , exchange their vows, and live happily ever after (8:5-14)

Love Renewed in Lebanon

{A relative}

Mi zot olah min-hamidbar mitrapeket al-Dodah takhat hatapuakh orartikha shamah khiblatkha imekha shamah khiblah yeladatkha:

Who [is] this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her dod? I raised thee up

{The Shulamite}

under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth [that] bare thee.

{The Shulamite to her beloved}

Simeni khakhotam al-libekha kakhotam al-zeroekha ki-azah khamavet ahavah kashah khishol kinah reshafei harishpei esh shalhevetya:

Set me as a seal upon thine lev, as a seal upon thine arm: for dod (love) [is] strong as death; jealousy [is] cruel as the grave: the coals thereof [are] coals of fire, [which hath a] most vehement flame.

Mayim rabim lo yukhlu lekhabot et-haahavah uneharot lo yishtefuha im-yiten ish et-kol-hon beito baahavah bozyavuzu lo:

Many waters cannot quench dod (love), neither can the floods drown it: if [a] man would give all the substance of his house for dod (love), it would utterly be contemned.

[BNEI IMMI (SEE SHIR HASHIRIM 1:6)]

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

Im-khomah hi nivneh aleihah tirat kasef veim-delet hi natzur aleiha luakh arez:

If she [be] a wall, we will build upon her a palace of Kesef: and if she [be] a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

{The Shulamite}

Ani khomah veshadai kamigdalot az hayiti veeinav kemotzet shalom:

I [am] a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.

Kerem hayah liShlomoh bevaal hamon natan et-hakerem lanotrim ish yavi befiryo elef kasef:

{To Shlomo}

Karmi sheli lefanai haelef lekha Shelomoh umatayim lenotrim et-piryo:

My vineyard, which [is] mine, [is] before me: thou, O Shlomo, [must have] a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

{The Beloved}

{The Shulamite}

Berakh Dodi udemeh-lekha litzvi ole ofer haayalim al harei vesamim:

Make haste, my dod, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
