54:1 Sing, O barren, you [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, said ADONAI (יהוה).

54:2 Enlarge the makom (place) of your mishkenot (tents), and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations: spare not, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes;

54:3 For you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and your zera shall inherit the Goyim, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

54:4 Fear not; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be you confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

54:5 For your asah (Maker עשׂה) [is] your ba'al (husband); ADONAI Tzvaot (צבאה) [is] His Name; and your Goel (Redeemer) the Kedosh (Set Apart One) Yisrael; The Elohim (אלהים) of the whole eretz shall he be called.

54:6 For ADONAI (יהוה) has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you wast refused, said your Elohim (אלהים).

54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.

54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, said ADONAI (יהוה) your Redeemer.

"For this is like the waters of Noach to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noach would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my shalom be removed, said ADONAI (יהוה) that has mercy on you.

54:11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, [and] not comforted, Hinei, I will lay your stones with fair colours, and lay your foundations with sapphires.

54:12 And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones.

54:13 And all your children [shall be] taught of ADONAI (יהוה); and great [shall be] the shalom of your children.

54:14 In tzedakah shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.

54:15 Hinei, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake.

54:16 Hinei, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

54:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against you in misphat you shall condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of ADONAI (יהוה), and their tzedakah [is] of me, said ADONAI (יהוה).

In the 17th Century Jewish Historian, Raphael Levi said Long ago Rabbi use to read Isaiah 53 in the Synagogue but since the chapter had cause "arguments and great confusion". Rabbi decided that the simplest thing would be to just take the prohecy out of the Haftara reading in the synagogues. That's why today when we read Isa 52. We stop in the middle of the Chapter and the week after, we jump straight to Isa 54. What happened to Isa 53, you must be wondering?

That is exactly what this video is about in the Bible, the book of Isa 53. The prophet declares about the Messiah that he would be rejected by His people suffer and die in agony and that God would see His suffering and death as an atonement for sins of humanity Isaiah lived and prophesied.

In the 8th century BCE According to his prophecy in Chapter 53, the leaders of Israel would recognize they had made a mistake at the end of days. When they rejected the Messiah so Isaiah put the prophecy in past tense and because he saw himself as part of the people of Israel. He used third person plural (we).

At the end of Chapter 53 Isaiah writes an introduction of chapter 53. Behold my servant shall prosper. The term "servant" is supposed to connected back to sections earlier in the book that speak of "the Servant of the Lord". For Example in chapter 42, 49 and 50
