Shomer Shabbat - Take hold HaShem's Covenant

Reward for obedience to Hashem

56:1 Thus said ADONAI (יהוה), Shomer you mishpat, and do Tzedekah : for My Yeshuah [is] near to come, and My tzedakah to be revealed.

56:2 Ashrei [is] the man [that] does this, and ben man [that] layeth hold on it; that Shomer Shabbat from polluting it, and Shomer his hand from doing any evil.

56:3 Neither let son the stranger, that has joined himself to ADONAI (יהוה), speak, saying, ADONAI (יהוה) has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, hinnei, I [am] a etz yavesh (dry tree).

56:4 For thus said ADONAI (יהוה) to the eunuchs that Shomer My Shabbatot, and choose [the things] that please Me, and take hold of My Brit;

56:5 Even to them will I give in mine bayit and within my walls a place and a name better than of banim and of banot: I will give them SHEM OLAM, that shall not be YIKARET.

56:6 Also the benai nekar (stranger), that join themselves to ADONAI (יהוה), to serve him, and to love Ha SHEM ADONAI (יהוה), to be His Avadim, every one that Shomer Shabbat from polluting it, and taketh hold of My Brit;

56:7 Even them will I bring to My Har Kodesh, and make them joyful in My Beit Tefillah: their Olot and their zevach (sacrifice)s [shall be] accepted upon mine altar; for Mine Bayit shall be called an Beit Tefillah for all people.

56:8 ADONAY ADONAI (יהוה) which gathereth the outcasts of Yisrael said, Yet will I gather [others] to him, beside those that are gathered to him.

56:9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, [yea], all you beasts in the forest.

56:10 His watchmen [are] blind: they are all ignorant, they [are] all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

56:11 Yea, [they are] greedy dogs [which] can never have enough, and they [are] shepherds [that] cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

56:12 Come you, [say they], I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, [and] much more abundant.
